Cottage Pie

From Frozen; reheat oven to 180 degrees. Remove plastic covering and cover with foil. Bake for 30 minutes, remove foil and bake for a further 15-20 minutes or until the centre is hot and top is golden. Or, defrost and remove plastic covering. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes at 180 degrees or until the centre is hot and top is golden.
This dish starts with a base of onion, celery and carrots which are gently cooked before garlic and beef mince are added and browned. Then beef stock, red wine, tomato paste and Worcestershire sauce are added and simmered to perfection. It’s all then covered with buttery mashed potatoes and a sprinkle of tasty cheese.
